How UI influence on UX?
UI has a direct and important effect on how the user experience turns out. In any type of media the UI is entirely what the user is able to interact with. It acts as a bridge between the actual computation and data and the user. Because of this, there is almost no other influence on the user experience than the UI. The only other possible influences I can imagine are from hearing other's opinions on the media. This could potentially lead someone to having a different experience.
Since the primary influence is the UI, it makes sense that this is a great focus for teams developing interactive media. It is often considered to be important to make the UI as simple and intuitive as possible. This can be a much harder task than expected, depending on what type of media it is. If this is done wrong, it can ruin a work's chance of selling well or becoming popular. If people are unable to use the user interface, they are more likely to give up and not use it rather than take the time to find out how.
